Home Remedy for Coughs and Colds

The Simple Green Smoothies website is an excellent resource for smoothie inspiration. They have created this delicious recipe that will help you start to feel better. Make this ahead of time and store in the fridge!

Vitamin C from the lemons + ginger’s ability to ease stomach aches and nausea + honey’s antibacterial properties and ability to soothe your throat = the perfect tea!

Power Citrus Smoothie

This smoothie from Sugar Salted uses all the citrus: grapefruit, oranges, blood oranges, and clementines!

I always keep a few bananas in the freezer because they make smoothies super creamy!

This recipe calls for 2 tbsp of hemp hearts. One serving of hemp hearts (3 tbsp) contains 10 grams of protein, 2 grams of fiber, and a good amount of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids.

Try our recipe for an Orange Julius Smoothie

You’ll need 2 orange, 1 frozen banana, 1/2 cup orange juice, 2 tablespoons of your favorite plain yogurt, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Blend and enjoy!

The yogurt will make the smoothie thick and creamy while providing protein to keep you satiated.

Orange and Carrot Smoothie

Sneak some carrots into your smoothie!

2 peeled and deseeded oranges

2 sliced Carrot

Coconut water or Apple Juice

Ice

Honey (optional)

Put all of the ingredients in the blender and blend until the consistency is just right. Add ice to make it more of a slushy. Add honey until it is the perfect amount of sweetness.

If you need a bright, refreshing, nonalcoholic drink to add to your brunch menu, then try this Blood Orange and Rosemary Sparkling Water recipe from A Couple Cooks.

I love the earthy flavor that rosemary gives mocktails/cocktails.

They use a soda stream to create sparkling water, but you can also use plain canned sparkling water.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lemon
  • 8 oz. filtered water

Instructions
