Summer is right around the corner and we’ve just started to get our summer produce!

Peaches are most certainly a fan favorite, and the amount of yummy possibilities with peaches is endless. To top it all off, peaches are full or nutrition, containing vitamins, minerals and antioxidants!

Peaches were first cultivated in China where it still remains the top producer of peaches today. But, California produces about 50% of the USA’s peaches. That’s a lot of peaches, Cali! That’s a lot of yum!

This incredibly juicy fruit will more often than not dribble down your chin when you bite into it. You wouldn’t think that peaches are closely related to almonds, but they sure are! Almonds, peaches, even apricots and plums are all members of the family Rosaceae.

If biting into a peach sounds too messy to you, then you can certainly consider enjoying a peach in smoothie, a cobbler, sliced up in a salad or thrown on the grill.

Peaches make a great snack anytime of the day, but we sure love them around breakfast! Peach parfaits, peaches in our oatmeal or chia peach pudding!!
