Ingredients
- 1 bunch shiso leaves
- ¼ c. raw pistachio nuts
- T TBS miso paste any type
- 1 clove garlic pressed
- 1 lemon juiced
- 1/3 c. olive oil
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients in a food processor or blender.
- Adjust seasoning to taste
- Serve with pasta, fish, or rice noodles.
Notes
While technically in the mint family shiso has a flavor profile more akin to basil. It is often often used to provide a refreshing garnish to fish, rice, tempura, soup and vegetable dishes in Japanese cooking.
