🌈 Eating the Rainbow

Today we’re giving a little love to colorful produce! Each color we eat gives our bodies different phytonutrients that help us thrive so this week, have fun eating as many colors as you can.

❤️ Red

Tomatoes • Red Peppers• Watermelon

Easy ideas: Add tomatoes to whatever you’re already making, chill watermelon for something refreshing after dinner.

🧡 Orange

Carrots • Peaches • Nectarines • Sweet Summer Valencia Oranges

Orange fruits and vegetables are naturally rich in beta-carotene, which your body uses in different ways to support overall health.

Easy ideas: Snack on carrots alone or with hummus, or just eat a ripe peach as-is, juice a couple valencia oranges into a glass for a refreshing power drink.

💛 Yellow

Yellow Peaches • Summer Squash • Lemons

Cucumbers • Zucchini • Lettuce • Kale • Spinach

Leafy greens are some of the most nutrient-dense foods you can eat. They’re packed with vitamins A, C &K, along with folate, minerals, and fiber to support everything from healthy bones and vision to your immune system and gut health. Best part- many green veggies don’t require any cooking so you can keep your kitchen cool!

Easy ideas: Toss a handful of spinach into smoothies, layer leafy greens into sandwiches or wraps, slice cucumber for a refreshing snack, or juice them all!
