We (Samantha & Mark Sirota) started the box in 2010, building on our love of organic fruit and spending the day at the farmers market. Our program offers a win-win situation where you get the best-tasting fruits and veggies and your dollars directly support sustainable agriculture and local schools and charities- so far over we’ve raised almost $300,000 for our partnering schools! In addition to delivering produce and creating content-packed newsletters with oh-so-easy recipes, we also love to teach students of all ages about the importance of knowing where our food comes from and how we can vote with our food dollars for a healthier future.
