5 large apples
1 cup peanut, almond or nut-free butter
1 cup almond slivers or marshmallows or puffed rice cereal
Quarter and core the apple, then cut each quarter into thirds so you have 12 pieces.
Place apple slices in a bowl of water.
Drain water (this keeps them from browning for hours!!)
Spread 1 TBS peanut butter on half of the apple slices.
Lay the other half of the apple slices on top(matching up nut-butter sides so the apple slices stick together) to create the “mouth.”
Insert your “teeth” of choice… you may have to lift up the top apple slice to position the teeth then add a little extra peanut butter and reposition the top again. You can also used halved grapes as tongues and eyeballs!
