Dear Friends of Good Food,

Today marks 16 years of Good Box Organics!

Last year we celebrated with a big milestone party.

This year, with the Sandy Fire unfolding up the road from our headquarters, we’re sitting in surrender waiting and praying for the fire to be contained and for evacuation orders to lift so we can safely return to serving you.

It’s been a grueling few days, all too familiar since the Palisades and Altadena fires: sitting with uncertainty and keeping eyes glued to the watch duty app, talking to our farmers and our staff with updates that mostly amount to waiting. We are deeply grateful our people are safe and beyond grateful for the brave firefighters at the frontline. Waiting for the moment we can finally exhale.

Over these last few days, the outpouring of kindness, patience, encouragement, and support from this community has reminded us what Good Box has truly always been about.

Yes, it’s about organic food and local farms but more than anything, it’s about people caring for one another.

So today, our 16th birthday is simply a celebration of gratitude. Gratitude for this beautiful community and for your trust, your support, and the love you’ve shown us during a difficult week.

We are deeply thankful for each and every one of you, and we look forward to the moment we can safely get back to feeding our community again soon.
